  • 1/2 cup Milk Dairy or non-dairy milk works fine.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Almond extract can be a delightful alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter Can be replaced with oil for a dairy-free version.
For the Coating
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Mix with cinnamon for the perfect flavor burst.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Essential for rolling the donuts post-baking.
For Optional Drizzle
  • 1 cup Chocolate Use dark or milk chocolate for a delicious drizzle.

Equipment

  • donut pan

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your donut pan by lightly greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until well blended and free of lumps.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each cavity of the greased donut pan with batter until it’s about 2/3 full.
  6. Place the filled donut pan in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Melt a small amount of unsalted butter in a bowl and mix together sugar and cinnamon in another bowl for the coating.
  9. Dip each warm donut bite in melted butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  10. For a chocolate drizzle, melt chocolate with cream, then dip the top half of each donut bite and allow to set before serving.
