  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Red food coloring Optional for color.
  • 1 cup Diced strawberries Ensure frozen berries are thawed and drained.

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thaw the puff pastry for 30–60 minutes, then roll it out on a floured surface.
  3. Beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring and fold in half of the diced strawberries.
  4. Cut out heart shapes from the pastry and create a shallow border around the edges.
  5. Fill each heart with the cream cheese mixture and top with remaining diced strawberries.
  6. Whisk egg with water and brush the edges for shine.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed. Rotate halfway through baking.
  8. Let cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
