Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Thaw the puff pastry for 30–60 minutes, then roll it out on a floured surface.
- Beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring and fold in half of the diced strawberries.
- Cut out heart shapes from the pastry and create a shallow border around the edges.
- Fill each heart with the cream cheese mixture and top with remaining diced strawberries.
- Whisk egg with water and brush the edges for shine.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed. Rotate halfway through baking.
- Let cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
