Step-by-Step Instructions for Cajun Shrimp
- Toss 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp with ¼ teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Allow them to sit for 1 minute, then rinse under cold water.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of room temperature butter, 1 clove of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro (or parsley). Stir in 1 ½ teaspoons of cajun seasoning until blended.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add ½ tablespoon of olive oil. Lay the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 1 minute until they start to turn pink.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in the cajun butter mix into the skillet, tossing the shrimp until coated. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the shrimp turn opaque.
- Remove from heat and serve over rice, in tacos, or tossed with pasta. Garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes
For the best flavor, avoid overcooking the shrimp and use fresh herbs only.
