- Ensure the cavity of the whole chicken is empty, then pat the skin dry with paper towels.

- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and rub it all over the skin. Mix kosher salt, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and dried thyme together and sprinkle over the chicken.

- Place the chicken breast-side down into the preheated air fryer basket. Set the timer for 30 minutes.

- After 30 minutes, carefully flip the chicken and cook for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the basket and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
