Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for French Onion Burgers
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of 85% lean ground beef, 1 packet of dry onion soup mix, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt. Gently mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each into a burger patty, about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Preheat your grill over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, ensuring grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  4. Carefully place the patties on the preheated grill. Close the lid and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. During the last minute of grilling, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty after flipping and close the lid.
  6. If desired, place brioche buns, cut side down, on the grill for about 1 minute until lightly toasted.
  7. Once cooked, remove patties from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before assembling on toasted buns.
