  3. Mix sweetened condensed milk with caramel topping until smooth for soaking mixture.
  4. Cool the cake for 10 minutes, then poke 60 holes in the cake with the blunt end of a wooden spoon.
  5. Pour the soaking mixture over the warm cake to ensure it seeps in.
  6. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set the soaking mixture.
  7. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cake, then sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
